my journey.
hi there! i’m Mackenzie!
I have loved theatre for as long as I can remember! When I was 3 years old, I would run around the house singing the opening number to Beauty and the Beast, forcing my family to play the townspeople; little did I know that 12 years later I would get to play Belle on stage. And at age 4, I was singing “Madame Guillotine” from The Scarlet Pimpernel, which I truly believe was one of the things that led to my obsession with true-crime tv, movies, and podcasts.
I knew I wanted to be a performer when I saw the way each story touched the lives of my audiences. I hope to change the lives of those around me with every show I am a part of!
I graduated in May 2021 with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Rider University, and I am beyond excited to start my journey in this industry! When I am not on stage, you can find me practicing yoga or doing makeup (I plan to become certified in both), playing guitar, or reading a mystery novel.
During this pandemic, it has been so difficult being without live theatre, regardless, I always found a way to create! You can find my “QuaranTunes” series, my “12 Days of Christmas!” series— or if you are looking to smile and have some hope restored, check out my virtual “Sun’s Gonna Shine Again” video with Rider University’s cast of Bright Star!
